Roger Neilson would study the rulebook to find limitations in the rules that he could use to help his team. Two things he would do:
- Knowing that you can never play more than 2 men short he would purposely send too many men out on the ice every ten seconds to disrupt the flow of the game.
- When he pulled his goaltender he would instruct his goalie to leave his stick on the goal line so the opposing team wouldn’t be able to score an empty-netter.

Fact. Guy I work with has played against Jared. Said he wasn’t that good but would get drafted because of the name. Similar thing going on with the Subbans too.
